Refuge Church fully believes in the teaching of God’s Word as one of God’s primary tools for spiritual growth. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” If you want to grow in your faith, you need to study the Bible. You are invited to join us at Refuge Church and to study the Word of God every Sunday morning and Wednesday night. In both passages, the nation of Israel is out in the desert with no water to drink. But God provided miraculously through the rock in Horeb and we'll see the connection here with Jesus Himself. As we study Exodus 16, we see how God provides for His people in the middle of the desert by raining down bread from heaven. In their passage way through the Red Sea, the Lord is foreshadowing the symbolism of baptism for us in the New Testament and shows us that our old life has been put to death in Christ.
