God wants to have relationship with every single human being on the planet, and He does this through Jesus Christ. But in order to have this, we have to start with God’s commandments.

The 10 Commandments are a list of rules that God set as a guide for humans to follow. The rules are easy to understand, but very difficult to do. For example, one of the 10 Commandments says, “Do not lie.” That is simple to understand. The problem is that we have all broken this commandment many times in our lives. Have you ever told a lie? Of course!

Breaking one of God’s commandments is called sin. The Bible says, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This is true; there is nobody who is perfect. We have all done many things wrong in our lives.

The Bible also says, “the wages of sin is death.” Wages refer to what we earn when we work. So the Bible is saying that what we earn from our sin, is death. This death is like a death penalty that is waiting to be fulfilled when we die and will send us to Hell. So we all have a very serious problem. We have all sinned, and our sin leads us to eternal judgment.

God understands this human problem and He loves us so much that He would not allow this without giving a solution. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to come to earth and die on the cross for our sins, taking our death penalty on Himself. He died on the cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins. And not only this, but after He was buried, He rose from the dead on the third day to prove that His death would truly take away our sins.

You can be saved from this death, the consequences of your sins. The Bible says, “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” So you must believe in Jesus’ sacrificial death, and resurrection, to be forgiven of your sins. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

By putting your faith in Jesus, you receive forgiveness of sins and enter into a relationship with God. Jesus does all this for us because of His goodness and love. He is truly the most amazing being in the history of the universe. Believe in Jesus today and experience His transforming love personally.
